   Return to Research Index

On behalf of the IASD/DSF Research Grant Committee we are proud to announce the results of the 2006 IASD/DSF Grant Award effort.  We received 17 excellent responses to our call for proposals.  The proposals were evaluated by the IASD Research Grant Committee and after a round of questions two proposals were selected for a final submission.  In the end both of these finalists were considered equally deserving of the grant so the money was split, each receiving a $2500 grant from IASD.  The two awardees were as follows:

1) $2500 award to a Canadian group in the Department of Psychology at the University of Alberta:  Ming-Ni Lee, MSc, and Don Kuiken, PhD.  "Self-Altering Forms of Awareness in Dreams following Loss and Trauma"

2) $2500 award to Ross Levin - Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, Yeshiva University, NYC and Gary Fireman - Professor of Psychology, Suffolk University, Boston, MA.;  "The Relationship between Subjective Sleep Complaints and Disturbed Dreaming to Daily Levels of Stress, Coping and Emotional Regulation"
